It has no maintenance facility, and is only used as storage of trains that operate on the service. It was the first overhaul shop for the IRT and opened with the subway in 1904. It is located at the northern terminal of that service. Two tracks were taken from the yard in 1968 for the Harlem – 148th Street station.
