has glosseng: Foday Kallay (born 1975 or 1976) was the leader of an armed group, the West Side Boys, in war-torn Sierra Leone. Foday Kallay was formerly a corporal in the Sierra Leone Army. During the capture of the six British soldiers in 2000, amongst his demands was for safe passage out of Sierra Leone and an education abroad. He confided in his family that he was afraid that should the hostages be released, his group would be open to attacks. During an interview, he claimed that the hostages were about to be released when the British raid took place. He was later captured and tried in Sierra Leone.
