According to Mr. Toshi Oyama, Ph.D. R&D Manager, WESGO Metals, "the thermal conductivity of Cusil was calculated from Electrical conductivity, which is reasonable since both are controlled by free electrons in metals. However, electrical conductivity of Cusil was measured about 30 years ago with a very primitive machine. I re-measured it, and calculated Cusil thermal conductivity to be 371 W/m/K."

has gloss	nld: CuSil is een legering van 72% koper (Cu) en 28% zilver (Sil) ontwikkeld door de firma Wesgo Metals. Het geleidt hitte beter dan zilver en koper maar is een stuk duurder. Toch wordt het soms toegepast om extreme computer systemen te koelen. Bijvoorbeeld tussen Peltier-elementen, een soort elektrische hittepompen. Eén kant wordt erg warm als er spanning op gezet wordt en de andere kant een flink stuk kouder.
