It is located in the general vicinity of Fort Chilcotin, a 19th Century outpost of the Hudson's Bay Company whose exact location is unknown today, and is sometimes also referred to as Fort Chilcotin. A parallel Chilcotin Forest Indian Training Centre for indigenous people is located nearby at Chilcotin Forest, an unincorporated settlement. |
