The championship ran throughout the whole of 1892 nnd 1893, culminating with the All-Ireland final, held at the Phoenix Park, Dublin on 21 June, 1894. The match was contested by Cork, represented by Blackrock, and Kilkenny, represented by Confederation, with Cork taking the title by 6-8 to 0-2. It was the first meeting between these two great rivals with Cork taking their third championship title in four years. |
